Victoria Cross: 17 Oct 1854, Lieutenant Colonel Collingwood Dickson, Royal Artillery, at Sebastopol, when the batteries had run short of powder, displayed great coolness and contempt of danger in directing the unloading of several waggons of the field battery which were brought up to the trenches to supply the want. He personally helped to carry the powder-barrels under heavy fire from the enemy.
