Oct 1, 1854, Captain Lushington was initially given two captains (William Peel and William Moorsom) and two commanders (George Granville Randolph and William Farquharson Burnett) under his command. However, Randolph was ill with cholera (he survived) and had to be replaced by Commander Henry Schank Hillyar of HMS Agamemnon.
